2. Create or import a wallet
• Click the icon and launch the extension.
• Choose Create New Wallet (or Import Wallet if you already have one).
• Set a strong password and store it safely.
• Write down the 12-word recovery phrase shown: the only way to recover funds if you lose access.
• Verify the phrase in the correct order.
Importing an existing wallet: Select Import Wallet, enter your 12-word recovery phrase, and unlock.
3. Add cryptocurrency
• Open the extension and log in.
• On the dashboard, click the “+” icon or search for a token to enable it.
• Once enabled, supported assets sent to your address will appear automatically.
4. Send crypto (incl. to BTC Direct)
• Select the asset.
• Click Send.
• Paste/scan the recipient address and enter amount.
• Review network fee and confirm.
• Always verify the address before approving.
5. Receive crypto
• Select the asset and click Receive.
• Copy the address or share the QR code with the sender.
Security tips
• Back up your recovery phrase in multiple secure, offline locations.
• Never share your phrase or private keys.
• Enable 2FA on related accounts (email, exchange logins, browser profile) to reduce takeover risk.
• Use trusted sites; beware of phishing pop-ups mimicking Trust Wallet.
• Lock the extension (or close your browser session) when finished.
With the Trust Wallet extension properly installed, backed up, and locked down, you can manage crypto from your desktop with confidence.
