If your Bitcoin transaction is stuck, you can accelerate it using mempool.space. Here's how:
1. Find your Transaction ID (TXID)
You’ll need the TXID to check or speed up your transaction.
- Most wallets show the TXID after sending coins.
- Alternatively, go to blockchain.com/explorer and enter the recipient address. You’ll find the related transaction and its ID.
- Copy the TXID.
2. Check your Transaction on mempool.space
- Go to mempool.space.
- Paste the TXID in the search bar (top right corner).
- You’ll now see your transaction’s position in the mempool (pending queue).
3. Click “Accelerate”
If available, you’ll see an Accelerate button. Click it.
4. Choose a Payment Method
You’ll now see three payment options:
- Lightning (QR code) – Not needed here.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay – These are the easiest.
💡 If Apple Pay doesn’t work on desktop, open mempool.space on your mobile, re-enter the TXID, and repeat the steps.
5. Confirm and Pay
- Make sure the correct transaction is selected.
- Tap Accelerate, then choose Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- Confirm the payment.
Once the payment is successful, you’ll see a confirmation screen that the acceleration request was received.
6. What Happens Next?
- Your transaction’s arrow on the mempool chart changes from white to gold, indicating it has been prioritized.
- It will now be picked up by one of the top mining pools (e.g. F2Pool, ViaBTC) which together represent over 19% of the hashrate.
- When one of these pools mines the next block, your transaction will be included.
- Once it reaches a block, you'll see it follow the dotted line, and your coins should arrive after ~2 confirmations.
By following these steps, you can significantly reduce the time it takes for a stuck BTC transaction to be confirmed.
